The VFL flushing station is capable of pressurizing up to 15,000 psig. @15 gpm. This patented system, is offshore certified for Class I Division 2 or Zone I environments and can operate indoors with no emissions, offering flexibility to customer operations. This system is capable of pumping chemicals, including methanol. VFL's experienced technicians provided with the flushing stations are qualified to perform fluid contamination analysis.

BP Thunder Horse

BP Thunder Horse is the largest project in the Gulf of Mexico, consisting of 28 wells. VFL has provided consulting for the controls of the work over Riser equipment for Thunder Horse since its inception. VFL played an integral role in the development and implementation of all the follwing areas:

• Purchase description
• Testing procedures
• Procurement documentation
• Operation procedures
• LRP (Lower Riser Package)
• EDP (Emergency Disconnect Package)
• HPU ( High Pressure Supply Unit)
• Reel holding 8,000 ft of 15,000 psi workover umbilical with electrical, fiber and hydraulics
• MSC ( master control center)
• All other testing and support equipment
• Software development

VFL assisted with the SIT (System Integration Testing) and installation of this equipment and all the procedures involved.

VFL is currently providing flushing, pressure testing, and chemical injection on the Discoverer Enterprise drill ship. These are 15,000 psi rated wells in 8,000 foot of water design depth. VFL equipment and personnel are currently working this project until completion.
